WELCOME to the JOY OF CREATION (online studio)! My name is Sandra. I am an Upholsterer and Textile Artist. I was born in Peru in 1972 and immigrated to the United States with my family in 1978. I was naturalized as a US Citizen in the 1990s and graduated from Penn State University with a BA in Integrative Arts (Architecture Design and Graphic Arts focus) and with minors in Architectural History and Sociology in 1995.
As a Textile Artist I enjoy creating art cloths through the art process of creative play. If you have been looking to learn more about textile art and the process of creating unique authentic artwork (art cloth) that speaks of your personal story of JOY then join me in my online studio (a private FB group). Where I will share about the fabrics and threads we sell that I use to create art cloths. Art cloths that start as samplers and can transform into finished Wall Art, Textiles to use for reupholstery, or to create home decor like decorative pillows.
